Haandarbejdets Fremme - The Danish Handcraft Guild is an organisation which was established in 1928 to preserve the tradition of Danish embroidery. The Danish Flower thread was created for this guild in conjunction with one of their popular designers, Gera Bengtsson - every time she needed a new colour or shade of thread, one was created for her.
